T -Tube gone!

Earlier this morning i had an hour long surgery to remove the T-Tube. It feels amazing to finally be free from tubes in my trachea, im defiently starting to feel more and more like myself again. Luckily i only have to stay in the hopsital for one night and i will be back up at the cottage this weekend! Thank you to everyone for your love and support, i wouldnt be where i am today without all of you <3

As for my voice, My parents and i spoke with my doctors today and they explained that my normal voice can take up to a year to get back to the way it was before. I know that i wont be singing for a while and its hard to imagine my life without it. I was dissapointed afer hearing this news, but soon realized that if the only thing that is going to effect me for a while will be a raspy voice, id say Im pretty lucky.

  1. Congratulations, Carley! I am so happy to hear all your good news. we all believed that it was a matter of time, but now it is a reality. this is wonderful! XOXOX

  2. Yey One less thing in and one more thing for the garbage. One year…that’s for us normal people. You will prove them wrong if anyone can and if not a raspiness to you singing may be kind of cool for a while. Hugs

  3. Being without your voice for up to a year is a terrible loss for you, and I’m sure when you say you were disappointed it was an understatement! However you are so strong, and so determined, and it sounds like you have your priorities well in order. I hope you will keep blogging now that the immediate crisis has passed, the long slow recovery will be less dramatic but your thoughts and insights are always so fun to read. You are very, very special.

  4. So happy the tube is gone. Carley you are amazing. Everyone has fallen in love with you. Your blogs shows the other special talent you have. You are a fantastic writer. Everything you do is interesting. More power to you baby girl.

  5. Great to hear the tube is out dear Carly and you’ll be back to singing in no time and your voice is and will always be beautiful 🙂 Sending love from Ottawa
