Good Day!

Today started off a bit diffefrent then most days. I had to wake up before 8 (I know so early) to have blood taken to see if im able to have some vitamin C through IV. It was weird setting my alarm because for the last couple months i have been able to just wake up whenever i feel ok enough to wake up. But  I set my alarm and got to the medical building for the blood work. It took about 5 minutes, and i walked back to my room and went right back to bed. I woke up again around 10 feeling great. since then ive hada a massage, gone for a swim and now my mom and i are sitting having some more sprouts, leafs, and vegetables for lunch! For the rest of the day i will probably go back to theol then try to make it back to the gym today. I know it really sounds like im living the life down here in Florida, but it defnetly wasnt this peachy for the past 2 weeks, now that i am feeling better i am able to finaly participate in all of the activities.

I also wanted to say a huge thank you to all the people here that helped my mom and i through the first couple weeks. You guys made everything you could so much easier for me andi cannot thank you enough for taking us under your wing! I have been enojying all different types  of treatment thanks to the gift card you guys bought me! it really means the world to me that you guys all got together to do such a nice thing for me.  These individuals were in the session before mine at hippocrates so unfortunatly i only got to spend a week or 2 with them.  Also today i was in the H Wave therapy building to see if i could book a therpay. unfortunatly its not a good idea while im on chemo to have the therpay but i ran into one of our friends! she has been renting the Q Lazer machine while shes been here and she offered to give it to me for the remainder of my time here because it helps reduce pain. I am so overwhelmed by all the people here that just want to help. So Jan if your reading this, thank you so much for all your help and love!

I hope everyone back home on Toronto is keepong warm and enjoying the snow!

XO

  1. Hi Carley, I hope you don’t mind me reaching out. I’m a reporter at CBC in Toronto and I came across your blog when I was researching Hippocrates. I’ve done a few stories about two younger first Nation girls who visited HHI in the last few months to help with their leukemia. I totally understand if you’d rather not talk to a journalist right now but if you’re at all interested in speaking with me – even just off the record- I’d love to talk to you about your experience there.

    Hope you’re well.

    Thanks,
