Hi Everyone,

It’s guest bloggers Riley (Carley’s Big Sister) and John (Carley’s Boyfriend). This time my guest blog is not one that anyone is going to want to read.

After a hard week in the hospital, this morning Carley had passed away. She left memories and a legacy that will live on forever in our hearts and minds. She never quit fighting until her last breathe; she showed more strength than anyone thought was possible. Unfortunately, this disease is not one to discriminate the evil from the good, the greedy from the giving, the cold-hearted from the kind-hearted. She was nothing less than an angel that spread her smile, joy, and charismatic nature to everyone around her. There was nothing she would have wanted more than for the people she love to be happy. So reflect and reminisce how she touched you and the inspiration, bravery and joy she brought into your life. Her life may have been short, but the lives she was able to touch and inspire is unparalleled to some people that have lived vast amounts of years .

On top of being an inspiring soul, Carley was a sister, daughter and girlfriend whose unconditional love will never be replaced. This situation is one that is hard to talk about for anyone that had been close to her, and anyone of us could go on for hours, but the words would still never be enough to describe and honour this remarkable and indescribable person. This may be the last post on this blog, to leave her memories and words untouched. However, we are in the midst of creating a foundation to continue and honor her legacy, journey, and fight to inspire youth and people of all walks of life to keep fighting and find a cure to this disease that has taken another angel.

May she be blissful in your memories and always with you in your heart.

  1. I’m sorry it is two years late. But RIP Carley. Love to all close to her hearts and I pray that her legacy will never stop. Inspiration to everyone.

  2. I have just seen the movie ‘Gardez le sourire’ (Canada, 2017) and was hoping that the ‘Carley’ character would survive…After some time, I just hoped that it is not inspired by a real case…Her romantic story with the ‘John’ character seems amazing, as these days there are few guys like that. I am lucky I have a special one near me. The movie made me cry so I need now to get back to my forever smile.
More important, I live in Luxembourg for some time and started some months ago to volunteer for the ‘Fondation Cancer Luxembourg’, a foundation that is helping people with cancer, tries to support prevention-programmes and is also supporting research. After watching this movie about Carley Elle, it gives me an immense joy that I contribute as much as possible to the fight against cancer. I just wish we could have done something to have saved her….She did not deserve to pass away at 19…It’s a tragedy that people like her disappear and Nazi people live till 100…The world is not fair but it’s up to us to get involved and change things for the better.
I just hope that her soul, wherever in the Universe, knows how much she is missed by her family, boyfriend and everyone else that is inspired by her never-ending smile and love for music!

  3. Bonjour

  5. My sincere Condolences on the passing of an inspirational young Woman who has taught me so much. I for one, understand what she went through. Being diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer on Oct 26, 2013……and still fighting this horrible disease. It takes a toll on not only myself, but for my Family , Friends, and people I have never met who have reached out.
Carley Elle, If your reading this, You have given me the strength to fight harder, and never give up. You’ve taught me to enjoy life to it’s fullest, with a smile !
Forever an Angel, forever an inspiration, forever in our hearts.
